“How Drinking Water Can Help You Lose
Weight”
Active people should be drinking at least 12 to 16 cups of water
per day. If you are
losing weight, you should be shooting for about 16 to 20 cups per
day.
Why?
As you lose weight your body releases many toxins into the blood
stream. These toxins
can put a huge strain on your kidneys, so drinking water can help
in assisting the detoxification process.
Drinking water also promotes appetite suppression through keeping
you full. It also will
help displace calories from drinking calorie filled beverages such
as pop and juice.
Some people do not like drinking water, so here’s some tips to help
you out:
·
Carry your water with you at all times. If you constantly sip your water
throughout the day, you will be able to meet your daily intake
needs.
·
Drink cold water. This
helps to satisfy your thirst better than room temp
water.
·
Squeeze a fresh lemon into your water. This provides some flavor to your
water if you’re bored with your water, and lemon can kill
bacteria.
