FAT LOSS TIP 9/20
“The 10% Rule.”
What is it? No
one can eat healthy or stay on a good diet 100% of the
time. So plan on
having 10% of your meals as “cheat” meals. This breaks up the monotony of
dieting and allows you to treat yourself or socialize with
friends.
Remember, do not “pig out” during these 10%
meals. This is time to
enjoy that hamburger or steak that you’ve been wanting to
have.
This works out to be about one meal every three
days. Plan them out,
though, because you do not want to lose track. If you are really trying to lose
weight, though, you may want to cut these out.
This is a very helpful strategy for anyone out there that
has failed with dieting. Most dieters fail because they
“break” from their diet for one day and they throw in the towel and
say “forget about it.”
This will take that mentality away. Just remember to get back on your
meal plan after the one cheat meal.
Next time we’ll discuss what type of food you should eat to make
you feel “fuller” longer and that has been shown to reduce fat
intake.
