"How You Can Get Your Tennis Elbow Pain
Relieved"
Elbow pain is a very common
problem that affects laborers (mechanics, machinists, welders),
atheletes, and weight lifters. Pain in the elbow usually
occurs on the lateral or side of the elbow next to a bony
prominence call the lateral epicondyle. This problem
occurs due to the following:
- acute conditions (pulls, tears,
collisions, etc),
- accumulation of small tears
(micro-trauma)
- not getting enough oxygen
(hypoxia)
Here's what happens:
You injure the tissue intitally--> It heals with scar tissue
--> Scar tissue decreases the amount oxygen to your tissues
and reduces the ability of the muscle to stretch -->
You tear the tissue again due to lack of flexibility of the
scar tissue starting the whole cycle of repair with more scar
tissue.
Our goal is reduce the scar
tissue in your forearm as quickly as possible and then teach
you the necessary stretches and exercises to
prevent the problem from returning. Most tennis elbow
conditions resolve in six treatments or less, so it is a quick
recovery time for most patients.
